N Darius Sankey

N Darius Sankey is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in academia and venture capital. Currently serving as a Visiting Professor at the University of Rochester and as an Engineer Adjunct at the RAND Corporation, Sankey brings expertise in technology entrepreneurship and strategy, demonstrated through a long tenure as a lecturer at the Rady School of Management. As General Partner and Managing Director at Innovation Acceleration Capital, Sankey leads initiatives focused on developing outsourced R&D strategies for corporations. Previous roles include President of Ocean Tomo China, Chairman and CEO of 3Discovered, and Sr. Portfolio Director at Intellectual Ventures. Sankey founded Opteris, a venture capital firm, and has held various leadership positions within venture capital firms. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Optical Engineering from the University of Rochester and dual BS degrees in Electrical Engineering and Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
