Paige Carter

Paige Carter serves as Director of Industry Engagement at the LSU Foundation. The Office of Industry Engagement enables holistic engagement across the University by supporting units in the translation and alignment of talent, research, and advancement to industry challenges. Carter establishes and sustains mutually beneficial relationships between LSU and a robust pipeline of industry partners, and works to identify and deploy University assets to meet specific industry needs.

Carter previously served as Director of Business Development at Louisiana Economic Development(LED), the government agency responsible for creating a more vibrant Louisiana economy and attracting more jobs and investment to the state. Carter primarily managed business recruitment and expansion projects for emerging growth sectors, such as technology, services, life sciences, and headquarter operations. With a focus on high-wage opportunities, Carter managed projects that attracted over 10,000 net-new jobs to the State of Louisiana, resulting in millions of new annual payroll during her tenure at LED.

Carter holds a Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resource Management from Louisiana State University-Shreveport. She graduated cum laude from the New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences at Arizona State University, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and a Minor in Communication.
