Norm Silverstein

Norm Silverstein serves as the President & CEO of WXXI Public Broadcasting Council since December 1995, overseeing one of the nation's leading public broadcasting institutions and its various services. Additionally, Norm holds the position of Chair of the Board of Directors for the Rochester Area Media Partnership (RAMP) since December 2018, providing guidance to CITY Newspaper. Norm also leads the Little Theatre Film Society as President since January 2012. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Vice President at Maryland Public Television from 1987 to 1994, where significant station initiatives were managed, and as Deputy Press Secretary for the Governor of Maryland from 1981 to 1987. Norm's educational background includes degrees in Media AMP from IESE Business School, Political Science and Communications from American University, and MAS Management with a focus on Financial Management from The Johns Hopkins University - Carey Business School.
