Brian Engel serves as the Medical Director at Innovative Blood Resources since October 2023, bringing a diverse educational and professional background in medicine and science. Previous experience includes a fellowship in Blood Bank and Transfusion Medicine at MD Anderson Cancer Center and residency positions in Pathology at Brookwood Baptist Health and Family Medicine at the University of Arizona. Engel has also contributed to education as a high school chemistry teacher and instructional coach at various institutions, including IDEA Public Schools and Tucson Unified School District. With a Doctor of Medicine degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Queen's University Belfast, Engel combines expertise in medical practice and educational leadership.

We provide safe and cost-effective blood products through Minnesota-based Memorial Blood Centers and Nebraska Community Blood Bank, based in Lincoln. IBR Biomedical Services provides blood and cellular products for clinical trial support, testing services, and consulting to the life sciences industry, including diagnostics, biopharma, medical technology, and cell therapy companies.
