Jesse Jones

Lab Manager at Innovative Genomics Institute

Jesse Jones is the current Lab Manager at the Innovative Genomics Institute. They have previous experience working as a Research Associate for DuPont Pioneer from January 2015 to December 2016, where they did soybean transformation via particle bombardment and Agrobacterium in both organogenic and embryogenic systems. They also identified and detected culture contaminants with PCR/16S rDNA sequencing. Jesse also has experience working as a Research Assistant for Yoh, A Day & Zimmermann Company from January 2012 to December 2015, where they worked at Dupont Pioneer under PI Cheng Lu then PI Shujun Chang. Their work included soybean transformation via particle bombardment and Agrobacterium, bacterial transformation via electroporation, plate-based Arabidopsis assays, and DNA/RNA extraction along with PCR/gel electrophoresis. Finally, they have experience as a Laboratory Technician for QC Laboratories from January 2008 to December 2012.

Jesse Jones graduated from Delaware Valley University with a Bachelor's Degree in Horticulture- Plant Science/Biotechniology.

They are on a team with Erica Moehle - Project Manager, Lucie Bardet - Project Manager, and Audrey Glynn - Clinical Translation Program Manager. Jesse Jones reports to Jennifer Doudna, Founder.
