Niklas Blomberg

Niklas Blomberg is a seasoned leader in the life sciences and bioinformatics sectors, currently serving as the Executive Director of the Innovative Health Initiative (IHI). As the Founding Director of ELIXIR, Niklas plays a key role in the development of a sustainable infrastructure for data in life sciences. In addition, Niklas holds the position of Chairman of the Board for Bioinformatics Infrastructure for Life Science in Sweden and has significant experience in the pharmaceutical industry, having worked as Principal Scientist and Team Leader in Computational Chemistry & Biology and Associate Director of Computational Chemistry at AstraZeneca. Furthermore, Niklas is the EFPIA Co-chair for the Innovative Medicines Initiative - OpenPHACTS project, contributing to collaborative research efforts in healthcare innovation.
