Matthew Smith, CFM, SFP has over 25 years of experience in facilities management. Matthew began their career in 1995 as a Field Supervisor for Walsh Bros. In 2000, they joined Concert Architectural Interiors as the Facilities/Service Manager, where they were responsible for the planning and execution of furniture installation projects. In 2009, they moved to Morgan Chaney LLC - Custom Packaging as the Print/Maintenance Manager, where they managed print work and maintained/repaired print machines, compressors, and building systems. In 2013, they became the Facilities Manager for Direct Energy, providing facilities management for a 500 seat, 70,000 sq. ft. call center and remotely supporting smaller sites throughout the Western US and Canada. In 2018, they joined Arizona Veterinary Specialists as the Facility Manager, transitioning in-house laundry services, replacing a janitorial vendor, and restructuring the Facilities Department. Currently, they are the Director Of Facilities at Innovative Health LLC, overseeing the custom build-out of a 9,000 sqft office and warehouse expansion, and pursuing budgetary numbers for multiple building improvement scenarios.

Matthew Smith has an education history that includes Phoenix College from 1994 to 1995. Matthew has also obtained several certifications, including Sustainability Facility Professional (SFP®) from IFMA in June 2022, Facility Management Professional (FMP®) from IFMA in November 2016, Facilities Management Professional (FMP) from the International Facilities Management Association in March 2016, Certified Facility Manager (CFM) from IFMA in March 2018, and Certified Facility Manager™ (CFM™) from IFMA in March 2018.
