Ilya Volk

Ilya Volk has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as the Director of Clinical Research at Innovega Inc. since July 2022. Prior to their current position, they worked as an Optometrist at Carlsbad Optometry starting from December 2020. Ilya also gained experience as an Optometrist at NVISION Eye Centers from January 2022 to March 2023.

Before pursuing a career in optometry, Ilya served as the Webmaster for the San Diego County Optometric Society from December 2019 to December 2022. Additionally, they worked as an Optometrist at Morris Eye Group from September 2019 to December 2021.

Ilya's earlier experience includes roles at Western University of Health Sciences, where they worked as a Clinical Extern and Contact Lens Lab Monitor. Ilya also briefly served as an Optometric Technician at Kopolow & Girisgen, OD, PC.

Before entering the field of optometry, Ilya gained experience in various roles at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, including Building Manager, Production Services Technician, and Tutor for Human Functional Anatomy.

Ilya Volk's education history begins with a High School Diploma obtained from William Fremd High School in the years 2007 to 2011. Following this, from 2011 to 2015, Ilya attended the University of Wisconsin-Parkside and earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biological Sciences. Moving forward, Ilya pursued higher education and enrolled at Western University of Health Sciences, where they completed their Doctor of Optometry degree in Optometry from 2015 to 2019. In addition to their formal education, Ilya Volk also obtained a certification in "GCP for Clinical Investigations of Devices" from the CITI Program in July 2022.
