Zach Smith

Director of Field Clinical Engineering at InnovHeart

Zach Smith has a diverse range of work experience in the medical field. Zach is currently the Director of Field Clinical Engineering at InnovHeart, where they are responsible for training physicians and clinical sites on the use of the SATURN TMVR system. Prior to this role, Zach worked as a Principal Field Clinical Specialist for Structural Heart Global at Abbott, specializing in LAAO procedures. Zach also worked as a Clinical Specialist at Covidien, providing case coverage and collaborating with physicians to improve patient outcomes. Before joining these companies, Zach was an Independent Contractor, where they established their own LLC and contracted himself and other experienced vascular technicians and nurses to hospitals. Zach also worked as an Independent Vascular Specialist, assisting in the implementation of an Atrial Fibrillation program and functioning in scrubbing and monitoring roles during interventional procedures. Earlier in their career, Zach worked as a Clinical Sales Representative at Marine Polymer Technologies, where they exceeded sales quotas and conducted educational in-services for staff. Zach also gained experience as a Cardiovascular Technician at St Anthony's Hospital, where they excelled in their position and was promoted to the on-call team and later to inventory manager. Additionally, Zach completed a pre-medicine internship at St Anthony's Hospital, where they rotated through all major medical specialties and was recruited to join the cath lab team.

Zach Smith began their education journey in 1996 at Oklahoma State University, where they studied Physiology, General. After completing their studies there in 1997, they moved on to the University of Oklahoma. From 1997 to 2001, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Health and Sports Science.
