Avinash Beri

Avinash Beri has had a diverse and extensive work experience. Avinash began their career at Albany State University as a Doctoral Research Associate, where they completed major research projects in atomic, molecular, and solid-state physics. Avinash then moved on to the University of Rochester as a Postdoctoral Research Associate, conducting research in chemical physics and teaching undergraduate and graduate courses.

Afterward, Avinash worked at CSC as a Senior Programmer/Analyst and Senior Manager, holding various roles within NASA programs and leading a team of scientists, mathematicians, and engineers. Avinash was responsible for managing and collaborating on mission-critical systems and implementing quality assurance processes.

At Caelum Research Corporation, Avinash served as Director of IT Programs, delivering IT service solutions for NOAA and US Army opportunities and proposing risk management approaches and innovations.

Avinash later joined Technica Corporation as a Technical Project Manager/Program Manager, where they enhanced the transparency and accountability of a DISA Information Assurance program based on best practices and developed and maintained the DKO Portal for collaboration and access control.

Currently, Avinash works at Innovim as a Senior Project Manager and Principal Systems Engineer. Avinash provides program and process enhancement, serves as a consultant and mentor to staff, and assesses new business opportunities. Avinash also analyzes system and operations requirements for the NASA Space Network Ground System Sustainment program and drafts interface control documents.

Throughout their career, Avinash has shown expertise in systems engineering, project management, and IT services, with a focus on space systems analysis and enterprise IT support for NASA, NOAA, and defense customers.

Avinash Beri has a diverse education history. Avinash completed their undergraduate studies at St. Stephen's College in Delhi from 1966 to 1969, earning a B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Physics. Avinash then pursued graduate coursework at the University of Rajasthan in Economics from 1969 to 1970. Following this, they attended the University at Albany, SUNY, where they obtained an M.S. degree in Physics from 1970 to 1973. Avinash furthered their education at the same institution and completed their Ph.D. in Physics between 1974 and 1979. Avinash Beri also engaged in graduate coursework in Computer & Network Engineering at The Johns Hopkins University from 1997 to 1999. Additionally, they obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in August 2007 from the Project Management Institute.
