Oren Shamir

Oren Shamir is an experienced computer vision researcher and engineer with a career spanning over two decades. Currently at Innoviz Technologies since September 2017, Oren has led the DNN aspects of autonomous vehicle perception projects, focusing on machine learning development, data acquisition, and workflow implementation while utilizing advanced techniques. Previous roles include managing the computer vision R&D team at Innoviz Technologies and serving as a Computer Vision Algorithm Engineer and Team Manager at Intel Corporation, where Oren developed algorithms for hand gesture detection and led a software development team. Oren started a career in software development in the Israeli Army and holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Cognitive Sciences from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
