Lu Sun has worked for several companies since 1997. At Eastman Kodak Company, they were an Intern Programmer. Lu then worked at Lucent Technologies CP as a Member of Technical Staff. In 2001, they joined CIENA as a Senior Test Engineer and led the system test group in designing and implementing the first universal test executive. In 2006, they were a Senior DSP Test Engineer at PCTEL and in 2007, they were a Manufacture Test Engineer at Glimmerglass Networks. From 2011 to 2014, they were a Principal Manufacturing Test Engineer at Dell Force10 and received two Supply Chain Operations awards. From 2014 to 2018, they worked at Verizon as a Principle Manufacturing Test Engineer. Finally, they have been the Director Of MFG Operations and Sr Staff Manufacturing Engineer at Innovusion since 2018.
Lu Sun obtained a BS in Physics & Computer Science from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in 1996. Prior to that, they attended Peking University from 1991 to 1994, studying Physics. Lu then attended the University of Maryland, earning an MS in Computer Science in 1998. Lu Sun also obtained a Certified LabVIEW Architect certification from National Instruments. Prior to this, they attended Nankai Highschool from 1988 to 1991.

Innovusion was founded in 2016 and has core R&D teams in Sunnyvale, California, USA and Suzhou, China.
