Yufeng Li

Yufeng Li has over 20 years of work experience. From 2000 to 2001, they were a Summer Intern at Bell Labs. Yufeng then worked as an Optical Engineer at Semrock, Inc. from 2001 to 2003, where they developed a proprietary optical monitoring system and led the development of various metrology stations for thin-film filters. From 2003 to 2006, they worked at TRUMPF Photonics as a Product Manager and Senior Engineer and Project Manager, where they designed and developed kW-level high-brightness diode laser modules and wavelength locked diode lasers. From 2006 to 2015, they worked as a Program Manager at TRUMPF Photonics, where they drove the development of single-emitter based diode laser product portfolio and managed a team of development engineers and technicians. Finally, from 2017 to present, they have worked at Innovusion as Director of Manufacturing Engineering, Director of System Engineering, and Senior Staff System Engineer, where they have developed high resolution image quality Lidar systems for autonomous driving applications, coordinated overall prototype system development between multidisciplinary teams, and developed and procured key laser sources, optical and optoelectronic components for Lidar systems.

Yufeng Li received their B.E. in Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University from 1993 to 1998. Yufeng then went on to earn their M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Rochester from 1998 to 2000. Lastly, they earned their Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Rochester from 2003 to 2006.
