Asif Rao

Asif Rao has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Asif began their career in 1997 as an RF Engineer at Samsung Electronics Research Institute. Asif then moved on to Nokia Networks in 1999, where they worked as a Design Engineer and managed the hardware and software design of base stations, achieving a 20% improvement in the first-time pass rate of production. In 2000, Asif joined Motorola as a Senior Software Engineer in the Wireless Infrastructure Group, and subsequently took up roles as a Lead Software Engineer in the Wireless Broadband Group, a Product Manager in the Mobile Devices Business, and finally as a Product Development and Management professional in the Wireless Broadband Group. During their time at Motorola, Asif successfully delivered various software and application enablers, resulting in shorter product development cycles, timely market launches, improved quality, and increased profit margins. In 2014, Asif co-founded Innowi Inc., where they held the positions of CTO and Co-Founder, followed by President and Co-Founder.

Asif Rao pursued their education with a focus on engineering and software development. Asif obtained a Master of Science degree in Software Engineering from DePaul University in 2008. Prior to this, they completed a Master of Science degree in Radio Frequency Communications Engineering from the University of Bradford in 1998. Asif'sundergraduate studies were centered around Electrical & Electronics Engineering, and they earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Mediterranean University in 1995.
