Sajid Mehdi

Sajid Mehdi has extensive experience in the field of IT and systems administration. Sajid began their career in 2002 at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, where they served as a System Engineer. In this role, they managed Windows, Solaris, and Linux application servers, provided network support, and supported Oracle Database systems.

Sajid then joined Technotrans Computer Systems Pvt Ltd in 2006, where they worked as a Linux/Network Administrator. In this position, they handled various administrative tasks related to Linux and network management.

In 2009, Sajid joined Naseeb Online Services (Pvt)Ltd - ROZEE.PK as a Network Engg. Sajid worked there for a year, focusing on network engineering tasks.

Sajid's next role was at DeNA, where they held two positions. Sajid started as a Linux Administrator in 2011 and was responsible for managing Linux-based servers running various services such as Apache, Nginx, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis. Sajid also worked with VMware ESXi and different public/private cloud environments. Later, they transitioned to the role of Principal Server Engineer, where they managed MongoDB and TokuMX ReplicaSet Clusters and NODEJS application servers on Amazon EC2 with ELB.

Sajid'smost recent work experience is at Innowi Inc., where they currently serve as a Principal DevOps Engineer. In this role, they focus on managing autoscaling Laravel application servers on Amazon EC2 with ELB, as well as configuring and securing these servers using Ansible playbooks and terraform. Sajid also manages web servers running Apache2 and Nginx on Amazon Linux.

Overall, Sajid Mehdi has demonstrated expertise in a wide range of IT and systems administration tasks, and they have consistently taken on roles with increasing responsibility throughout their career.

Sajid Mehdi obtained a M.Sc. degree in Physics & Electronics from GC Lahore from 1996 to 1998. Prior to that, they completed their B.Sc. degree in Mathematics + Physics from Govt. Islamia College Civil Lines Lahore from 1992 to 1995. Sajid also holds a certification in VCP5-DCV from VMware Inc, which they obtained in June 2013.
