Paul Besson

Paul Besson has had extensive work experience in business development, specializing in processes such as leadership and executive support, change management, organization optimization, technology improvements, tradeshows, and marketing. Paul worked at Besson Business Development Services as a Business Development Consultant starting in 2020. Prior to that, from 2004 to 2020, they held various roles at General Dynamics Information Technology, including Director, Senior Director, and Staff Vice President of Air Force Business Development in the Defense Division. In this position, they managed Air Force business development initiatives, overseeing teams of over 1,000 personnel and annual revenues exceeding $300 million. Their responsibilities included IT and cybersecurity services, telecommunications upgrades, and enhancement projects. Paul also led strategic planning, competitive analysis, customer interfaces, and pursuit of new opportunities. Before joining General Dynamics, Paul served in the US Air Force for 25 years, retiring as a Colonel in 2004.

Paul Besson has a Bachelor of Science degree in General Engineering from the United States Air Force Academy, which they completed between 1975 and 1979. In 1981, they pursued further education and obtained a Master's degree in Procurement Management from Webster University in Colorado Springs. More recently, in 1996 to 1997, they attended Harvard University and completed a National Defense Fellowship in the Program for Information Resources Policy.
