Nelson Escravana

Nelson Escravana is an accomplished cybersecurity expert with extensive experience at INOV since January 2001, currently serving as Director of Cybersecurity. Responsibilities include defining strategy and research roadmaps, leading research teams, and managing international projects for organizations such as the EU and NATO. Nelson also contributes as a non-executive member of the Board, influencing organizational strategy. Previous roles at INESC include high-level IT and security management, including the implementation of cybersecurity policies and the establishment of a CSIRT team. Early career positions involved system administration and consulting for various institutions, showcasing a strong foundation in IT and telecommunications.
