Scott has been a leader of turnaround and start-up media companies, has led buyout transactions with total value of $1.2 billion and acted as an investor, advisor and leader to young growth businesses.
Currently, Scott is an investor in, and advisor to PlanetHS, Tales2Go, BizHive, e-Medical University and Innovations International.
As an operating executive, Scott served as CEO of Films Media Group, the largest library of educational video in North America, where he led a transformational business turnaround. He was also the founding president of Software on Demand, distributing software electronically via satellite, and Zuma ed, a digital content provider for K-12 instructors.
As a corporate development executive at Primedia, Inc. (a KKR portfolio company, NYSE: PRM) Scott led more than 30 buyout transactions of online, video, event and print media companies. Early in his career, he was a sales management leader in broadcast television. Scott earned an MBA from Columbia and an AB from Harvard University.
Scott was born in France and raised in France, Switzerland and the UK until he attended high school in the United States at Hotchkiss. His home for nearly 30 years was New York City. In New York, Scott was a member of the Vestry of Saint Michael's Church on the Upper West Side, and he acted as chairman of St Michael's Cemetery in Queens, NY. Scott now lives in south Florida with his wife, Kate, and their four children, Will (15), James, (12), Nina (10) and David (5).
