Neil Suttie has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Starting in 2008, they worked at UCTV digital as a Researcher and Data Entry, where they conducted research for the "studentmash.com" website, providing detailed course information for universities worldwide. In 2008, they also worked at Rockstar Games as a Quality Assurance: Focus Tester. From 2011 to 2017, Neil worked at Heriot-Watt University, initially as a Researcher & PhD Student, then as a Course Developer and Co-Lecturer. In 2017, they joined the University for the Creative Arts as a Technical Tutor in Computer Games Arts and later became a Lecturer in Games Technology. Currently, in 2022, Neil works at Inovus Medical as a Unity Developer.

Neil Suttie began their education by pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Heriot-Watt University, which they completed during the years 2006 to 2010. Neil then continued their academic journey at the same university, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Artificial Intelligence from 2011 to 2017.

To further enhance their professional skills, Neil pursued a PGCert Creative Education in Teacher Education and Professional Development, Specific Subject Areas from the University for the Creative Arts. This certification spanned from 2020 to 2022.

In addition to their formal education, Neil also obtained a certification titled "Become an Asset Artist for Games" from LinkedIn in April 2017. The institution providing this certification was LinkedIn.
