Magan has had extensive experience in HR and administration roles in various companies. Magan started their career in 1998 as a Personnel Coordinator at Punwire Mobile Communication Limited, where they handled time office management and HR statutory compliance. Magan then moved on to HT Media Ltd as a Sr. Executive, where they focused on business planning and contract manpower and recruitment. In 2005, they joined Reliance Communications as an Assistant Manager in HR and administration. Later, they worked at Bharti Infratel Limited as the Head of Circle HR and Administration from 2006 to 2011. Magan then joined PBI Metals as the General Manager of HR and Administration, managing three manufacturing facilities and over 600 employees. Currently, they are working at Inox Wind Ltd as the Head of HR and ER, leading HR initiatives and aligning HR goals with the organization's objectives.

Magan has a diverse education history. In 1992, they completed their 10+2 education in Computer Science at HPSEB, Dharamshal. They then pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management, OD & Labour Laws from Himachal Pradesh University from 2000 to 2002. In 2021, Magan attended the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, where they obtained a degree in Strategic Human Resource Management. Alongside their formal education, Magan also obtained various certifications. They became a Certified Mentor through Middle Earth HR in 2018 and acquired expertise in General Intelligence Assessments & Test from Thomas International Ltd in 2015. Additionally, Magan completed online certification in Strategic Human Resource Management from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad in 2021 and Domestic Enquiry Principles & Practice from V. V. Giri National Labour Institute in 2021.
