Kentaro Matsumoto

Kentaro Matsumoto is a skilled reservoir engineer with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. Currently employed at INPEX Corporation since November 2023, Kentaro focuses on carbon capture and storage (CCS), direct air capture (DAC), and geothermal projects. Prior to this role, Kentaro worked at Oxy as a reservoir engineer in the Gulf of Mexico from October 2021 to November 2023, where responsibilities included project management during a secondment. Kentaro's professional journey began at INPEX Corporation from April 2016 to September 2021, also serving as a reservoir engineer. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Resources and Environmental Engineering, both earned at Waseda University.
