Inigo Querejeta Azurmendi has a strong background in cryptography engineering and research. Inigo started their career as a Student Intern at Deutsche Bank, where they developed a python program for security key checks. Inigo then worked on their Master's thesis in cooperation with Deutsche Bank, focusing on the General Number Field Sieve algorithm. In their role as a Consultant at Minsait, Inigo conducted in-depth research on electronic voting and designed a secure internet voting protocol. Inigo later joined Brave Software as a PhD Intern, where they worked on building Zero Knowledge Proofs and designing Multi-Party Computation protocols. At Open Sistemas, they served as a Cryptography Engineer, working on a zero-knowledge proof mechanism. In their subsequent role at Brave Software as a Cryptography Engineer, they researched and developed privacy-preserving protocols. Currently, Inigo works at Input Output (IOHK) as the Cardano Lead Cryptography Engineer, where they work on cryptographic primitives and code development for Cardano projects. Throughout their career, Inigo has demonstrated expertise in various programming languages such as Python, Rust, and C.

Inigo Querejeta Azurmendi pursued their higher education in various institutions. Inigo obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Information Technology from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid from 2017 to 2022. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science (Msc) in Industrial and Applied Mathematics from Eindhoven University of Technology between 2013 and 2016. In 2011, Inigo started their undergraduate studies in Mathematics at the University of Exeter, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree.
