Gil Friend is an experienced executive and entrepreneurial coach, specializing in sustainability, climate, and regenerative leadership, serving as the Executive/Ontological Coach at Natural Logic, Inc. since May 1999, where the focus is on empowering leaders to create impactful strategies. Friend founded and serves as Managing Director of Critical Path Capital, facilitating the transformation of SMEs into community-rooted, ecologically-driven companies. As Host of "Living Between Worlds," a monthly conversation series focused on possibility, Friend engages diverse audiences as a global keynote speaker on sustainable business. Friend's board roles include positions at Blue Planet Energy and Inquiring Systems, Inc., alongside strategic advisory within Kora Sustainability. Previously, as Chief Sustainability Officer for the City of Palo Alto, Friend developed the city's first Sustainability and Climate Action Plan. Educational credentials encompass a BA in English from The City College of New York and an MS in Systems Ecology from Antioch University, among other certifications.

Inquiring Systems Inc. (ISI) supports and develops organizations working to make an impact at the Systems level – moving us forward into the Regenerative Future. ISI envisions a coming paradigm when human civilization will again be aligned with the ways of nature– in balance with wellbeing for all life. We support moving beyond the existing paradigm of capitalistic extraction and into the realm of whole systems thinking. ISI provides full service fiscal sponsorship services to nonprofits working in the Regenerative and Sustainability realms. We offer the 501c3 legal status necessary to accept tax-exempt donations and grant funding, and the administrative services associated with having 501c3 status. We currently sponsor 75 nonprofit organizations, bringing 45 years of business and organizational experience to the table – helping organizations through all kinds of situations. We emphasize the highest levels of business ethics, and we help organizations make the most of their good ideas.
