Michael Arbel is a Research Scientist at Inria since April 2021, focusing on advancements in the field of machine learning. Previously, Michael served as a PhD Student in Machine Learning at University College London from September 2016 to March 2021, specializing in generative modeling, particularly GANs and energy-based models. Prior experience includes a role as a Computer Vision Engineer at PROPHESEE, where responsibilities encompassed automatic calibration of stereo event-based cameras and real-time pedestrian tracking. Additionally, Michael undertook graduate research positions at École normale supérieure and Princeton University, investigating LSTMs and mean field games, respectively. Michael holds a Ph.D. in Machine Learning from UCL, a Master’s Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from École Normale Supérieure de Cachan, and a Master’s Degree in Applied Mathematics from École Polytechnique.
