Thomas Amand has extensive experience in international partnerships and project management, currently serving in roles focused on Asia, Germany, Oceania, and Russia at Inria since January 2019. As Programme Manager at INRA French National Institute for Agricultural Research, Thomas leads the Wheat Initiative, a G20-endorsed public-private partnership dedicated to wheat research for food security. Since 2010, Thomas has also been an International Project Manager at CNRS, overseeing various ICT international scientific cooperation projects between Asia and the EU. Previous experience includes a role as Project Assistant at the European Commission, where efforts centered on EU-China environmental cooperation. Thomas holds master's degrees in European Affairs from Sciences Po, International Economic Law from the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne, and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Cologne.
