James Bruggers

James Bruggers is a news reporter covering climate, energy, and the environment for InsideClimate News since May 2018. With experience spanning over decades, James has worked for The Courier-Journal, East Bay Times, and The Columbian, covering a range of environmental issues. James is also a member of the Society of Environmental Journalists and has served as a former board member and past president. James holds a Knight Wallace Journalism Fellowship from the University of Michigan and a B.A./M.S. in forestry, journalism, and environmental studies from the University of Montana.
