Chandler Keck, PhD has held a variety of roles in the animal nutrition field. In 2021, they began work as an Animal Nutrition Scientist at InsideTracker. From 2016-2021, they held roles at the Prestage Department of Poultry Science at North Carolina State University, Mountaire Farms, NCSU Feed Mill, and House of Raeford Farms. At the Prestage Department, they served as a Graduate Research Assistant, where they focused on how birds respond and adapt genetically to various stressors, and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant, where they tested a feed additive for poultry from Elanco. At Mountaire Farms, they were an Intern responsible for bringing the company's two feed mills in North Carolina up to code for the new government FSMA regulations. At NCSU Feed Mill, they were a Production Worker, and at House of Raeford Farms, they were an Intern, where they serviced both broilers and breeders, as well as worked in the feed mill in all stages from receiving to dispatch. Through these roles, they gained experience and knowledge in feed and government regulations, improved their communication skills, and gained experience in grain purchasing and product sales.
Chandler Keck earned their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Comparative Biomedical Science from North Carolina State University in 2021. Prior to that, they earned two Bachelor's degrees in Poultry Science and Animal Sciences from North Carolina State University in 2017, and also had minors in Biology/Biological Sciences, Feed Milling, & Agricultural Bussiness from the same university.
