Terry McLean

Terry McLean is the current President & CEO at Insight Catastrophe Group. Terry has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry.

Terry began their career at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette in 1998 as a software development manager. In 2001, they joined American Superior Insurance Company as their Chief Operating Officer. Terry was responsible for successfully turnaround of Florida homeowners writer through product and underwriting overhaul, major technology modernization and expense reduction.

In 2004, they left American Superior Insurance Company to join SageSure. Terry held various positions at SageSure until they left in 2005 to join RenaissanceRe. Terry was with RenaissanceRe until 2007 when they joined Insight Catastrophe Group.

Terry McLean completed a management and technology program at the University of Pennsylvania with a focus on actuarial science, finance, and computer science. Prior to that, they attended Elder High School where they studied mathematics and computer science.
