A decade ago, IDE founder and CEO Brian Kesselman spent two grueling weeks working to restore power to supermarkets across most of the Northeast region devastated by Superstorm Sandy. With the utilities unable to move quickly enough to avoid the pain and financial fallout that ensued, Brian personally felt the impact the storm had on his clients and their customers. He was determined to find a sustainable and reliable way to keep retailers that provide critical support to their local communities up and running during weather emergencies.
