Sofia Helguera

Sofia Helguera, RDN, LDN, is a clinical dietitian currently employed at Miami Jewish Health since October 2021, serving in the role of Clinical Dietitian II. Prior experience includes a comprehensive nine-month dietetic internship at AdventHealth, which involved over 1200 hours of supervised practice across various clinical settings including cardiac and oncology units, where Sofia applied the Nutrition Care Process. Earlier observerships at AdventHealth and Cleveland Clinic provided valuable exposure to nutrition assessment and counseling for patients with multiple health conditions, including diabetes and those undergoing bariatric surgery. Additionally, instruction experience at Kumon North America, Inc. involved teaching math and reading to a diverse age group. Sofia holds a Master's degree in Dietetics and Clinical Nutrition from NYU Steinhardt School and a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology from Florida State University.
