Susan Thompson

Susan Thompson is the current VP of Communications at Insight Global. Susan has over 18 years of experience in the communications field, with a focus on internal communications, hotel communications, and government relations.

Thompson started their career in 2003 as the Assistant Vice President of Government and Community Relations for WellStar Health System. In this role, they were responsible for developing relationships with local, state, and federal leaders to advocate for policy changes that would benefit the healthcare system. Susan also led all strategic development for policy-related issues, performed direct legislative lobbying, and oversaw the creation of the annual community benefit report.

In 2011, Thompson took on the role of Head of Global Marketing, Commercial & Technology Internal and Hotel Communications for InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG). In this role, they led a global team responsible for managing and executing hotel and internal communications across the Global Marketing and Global Commercial & Technology functions. This included developing and executing senior executive and functional 360 communications strategies, messaging, and tactics across global business units, IHG corporate colleagues, and to the global hotel estate.

Most recently, Thompson has been working as the Director of Employee Communications for Delta Air Lines since December 2019. In this role, they are responsible for communicating with Delta employees to keep them informed about company news and updates.
