Gerry Brennan has a diverse range of work experience, primarily in the field of risk management and compliance. Gerry is currently serving as the Chief Risk Officer at Insight Investment in Europe. Prior to this, they held the position of Director and Head of Financial Service Regulatory at Maples and Calder. Before joining Maples and Calder, Gerry worked at Insight Investment as the Head of Fund Compliance and also as a Compliance Manager. Gerry has also held the role of Head of Investment Compliance at Close Brothers Asset Management. In addition, Gerry has worked as a Compliance and Risk Officer at Castlestone Management Limited and as a Bank Officer at the Central Bank of Ireland. Gerry began their career at Allied Irish Banks as a Bank Official focusing on Credit Risk. Before transitioning into the financial industry, Gerry worked as a Managing Editor at Correspondent Media Agency.

Gerry Brennan's education history includes a BA degree in Journalism & Media Communications from Griffith College Dublin, obtained from 2000 to 2004. Later, they pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Management from ACCA, completed in 2008 to 2009. Gerry then attended the University of Galway and earned a Masters in Economic Science (International Finance) from 2009 to 2010, specializing in Quantitative Methods, Financial Econometrics, Portfolio Management, Risk Management, and Derivatives. In 2011 to 2012, Gerry obtained a Diploma in Investment Compliance from The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (The CISI). Lastly, in 2014, they completed a Professional Certificate in Compliance from The Association of Compliance Officers in Ireland.
