Oliver Heynes

Oliver Heynes has been working in the engineering industry since 2006. Oliver started their career at MMI Engineering as a Project Engineer, where they conducted numerical analyses and developed a CFD software code from scratch. In 2013, they co-founded Insight Numerics, LLC and acted as Director. Oliver was the lead developer of Detect3D, a Windows-based software product designed to help position flame detectors effectively on oil platforms, refineries, aircraft hangars, and submarines. Oliver also devised the business and marketing strategy for Detect3D, which resulted in Insight Numerics becoming a 2013 Global Finalist for the MassChallenge start-up accelerator program.

Oliver Heynes completed their PhD in Computational Fluid Dynamics at The University of Manchester in 2006. Prior to this, they obtained their MEng in Aerospace Engineering at The University of Manchester in 2002.
