William Tao

William Tao has over 20 years of experience in the technology industry. William began their career in 2000 as an IT Instructor for Government Schools Teachers at ITED. In 2001, they became a Team Leader (Member of Technical Staff) at ASTRI. In 2005, they were a Project Manager at IDT International Limited, and in 2006 they were a Product Manager at Giant Innovation Limited. In 2007, they became an Area Sales Manager at Technicolor. From 2010 to 2015, they were the Managing Director for the Asia Pacific Region at Swissvoice, where they managed to grow the business from ground zero to USD4Million in 1.5 years. From 2015 to 2017, they were the Managing Director in Hong Kong at invoxia. From 2017 to 2020, they were the COO at Insight Robotics Ltd. In 2020, they became an Executive Director for AI and Environmental Tech at Anavision, and a Board Member at Robotics Cats.

William Tao has an extensive education history. William obtained their Bachelor of Engineering in Electronic Engineering from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2001. After that, they completed their Master of Philosophy in Information Theory, Electronic Engineering from the same university in 2007. William then went on to obtain their Master of Science in Finance - Financial Analysis from HKUST Business School in 2008. In 2021, they completed a Certificate in Business and Climate Change from the University of Cambridge, focusing on Sustainability Leadership. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including a Professional Certificate in Data Science from HarvardX, GRI Certified Sustainability Professional - Universal Standard 2021 from Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Certified Carbon Auditing Professional (CAP) from Association of Energy Engineers, PSM 1 from Scrum.org, CCDA and CCNA from Cisco, and CWAP and CWNA from CWNP.
