Vincenzo Carbone, PhD has extensive work experience in the fields of MedTech and orthopedics. Vincenzo currently holds the role of R&D Senior Product Manager MedTech and Tech Lead at InSilicoTrials since January 2022, where their responsibilities include managing product development and leading technology initiatives. Prior to this, from July 2020 to December 2021, they served as R&D Senior Product Manager - Orthopedics at the same company. From December 2016 to June 2020, they worked as an R&D Product Manager - Orthopedics at InSilicoTrials, where they focused on democratizing modeling and simulation in healthcare.

Before joining InSilicoTrials, Vincenzo Carbone worked at the University of Twente from June 2010 to May 2016. During this time, they held the role of PhD Researcher in Biomechanical Engineering, where they developed a personalized musculoskeletal model of the lower extremity for use in virtual reality simulations of complex orthopedic operations. Vincenzo collaborated with international partners on the TLEMsafe project, funded by the European Union. Additionally, they served as the Project Manager for TLEMsafe from March 2013 to July 2015.

Vincenzo Carbone, PhD, has an extensive education history in engineering and mathematics. Vincenzo obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biomechanical Engineering from the University of Twente, where they studied from 2010 to 2016. Prior to that, they pursued a Diploma from Alta Scuola Politecnica from 2006 to 2009. During the same period, they also completed a Master of Science (MS) in Mathematical Modeling in Engineering from Politecnico di Torino and another MS in Mathematical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano. Vincenzo further expanded their academic experience through the Erasmus Programme at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) in 2007. Vincenzo Carbone's education journey commenced with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mathematics in Engineering from Politecnico di Torino, which they achieved from 2003 to 2006.

In addition to their formal education, Vincenzo Carbone has pursued additional certifications to enhance their skill set. In 2015, they obtained the PRINCE2® Foundation Examination certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice. More recently, in November 2021, they acquired the AgilePM® Foundation certification from APMG International.
