Aofei Liu

Aofei Liu is currently serving as a Lead Data Scientist at insitro since October 2023. Prior to this role, Aofei Liu was a Graduate Student Researcher in Bianxiao Cui's Lab at Stanford University from September 2017 to September 2023, focusing on optical activation of protein function and collaborating on the design and validation of adeno-associated virus systems for neuroscience applications. Aofei Liu also contributed to electrophysiology data visualization and analysis during this period. Previous experience includes conducting independent research at MIT Jamison Lab, interning at Covaris, lecturing at Beijing Global Leader Education Co., and serving as a lab assistant at MIT. Aofei Liu holds a PhD in Chemistry (Chemical Biology) from Stanford University and a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry and Computer Science from MIT.
