David Amar

David (Didi) Amar is an experienced ML and causality scientist currently working at insitro since February 2023. Prior to this role, David held various positions at Stanford University from March 2017 to January 2025, including Staff Scientist and Postdoctoral Fellow focused on machine learning and data science. David was a Principal Investigator at D2G Oncology from January 2021 to February 2023, specializing in machine learning and causal inference. Earlier academic roles include Postdoctoral Fellow and Lecturer in Computational Biology at Tel Aviv University from 2011 to 2017, as well as a Visiting Research Fellow at the Simons Institute for Theory of Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley in 2016. David completed BSc, MSc, and PhD degrees in Computer Science and Computational Biology at Tel Aviv University from 2007 to 2016.
