Karen Lee is an experienced scientist with a focus on automation and translational science. Currently serving as an Associate Automation Scientist at insitro since March 2021, Karen has held positions as Automation Engineer and Associate Scientist III. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Research Associate and Laboratory Manager at Hexagon Bio, where the responsibility included managing the cell culture pipeline. Karen also worked as Operations Lab Manager and Operations Associate at Transcriptic, and as a Research Assistant at the University of California, Berkeley, contributing to genetic sequencing analysis of South African avian species. Earlier experience includes undergraduate research at National Taiwan University under the supervision of Dr. Chau-Ti Ting, studying lethal hybrid rescue in Drosophila species. Karen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Life Science from National Taiwan University.
