Josh Jensen

Josh Jensen has over 10 years of experience in the engineering and technology sectors. In 2008, they began their career as an Platform Engineering Intern at Caterpillar Inc., where they conducted emissions testing for large Caterpillar engines and led initiatives to improve test efficiency. In 2009, they became an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Iowa State University. In 2010, they rejoined Caterpillar Inc. as a New Product Introduction Manager, leading a cross-functional team of five engineers and delivering an estimated $100 million in new company profit from a suite of technologies. Josh then became a Sr. Associate Engineer at Caterpillar Inc. in 2014, managing a research project focused on improving the fuel efficiency of Caterpillar axles. That same year, they also became a Graduate Fellow in the LGO Program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). In 2015, they were an Operations Research Fellow at Amgen, designing and implementing a Lean Manufacturing system for the next generation bio-manufacturing plant. In 2016, they were Managing Partner at NW Homes Invesco LLP and Director of Operations at Peach Inc. In 2018, they became Vice President of Operations at FlyHomes, running all brokerage operations and creating a new business line. Josh currently serves as Co-Founder and CEO of Inspectify, a tech driven property inspection platform.

Josh Jensen began their education in 2005 at Iowa State University, where they completed a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 2010. In 2011, they attended the University of Michigan for Energy Systems Engineering, but did not complete a degree. In 2014, they attended both the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the MIT Sloan School of Management, completing a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies in 2016. In 2020, they attended Y Combinator. In 2011, they also obtained a 6 Sigma Greenbelt (DMAIC, DMEDI, CPS) certification from Caterpillar Inc.
