Derek Hymel

Derek Hymel is a technology security professional with extensive experience in IT management and project leadership. Currently serving as the Manager of Technology Security at Insperity since June 2014, Derek oversees security and governance for cloud applications. Prior roles include Manager of Client Systems and Senior System Engineer, where expertise in Office 365 adoption and Azure Active Directory co-existence was demonstrated. Derek's background spans multiple companies, including a Systems Engineer role at American Residential Services, where corporate IT infrastructure was maintained, and an IT Manager position at IEM, leading various IT projects. Early career experiences as a Network Engineer at Aegis Mortgage, Camsoft Data Systems, and Systems Administrator at Shaw Group contributed to a strong foundation in server management, disaster recovery planning, and Tier-III support. Derek holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from the University of Phoenix.
