David Fluri

David Fluri has a strong background in scientific research and operations management. David started their career at ETH Zürich, where they completed a PhD in 2008. David then worked as a Postdoc at the University of Toronto from 2008 to 2011. In 2012, they joined InSphero as a Senior Scientist, where they led a team in the development of 3D microtissue products and cell-based assay development. In 2016, they became a Principal Investigator at InSphero before being promoted to Head of Operations in 2017.

David Fluri has a diverse education history. David began their studies at the University of Basel in 1997 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology in 1999. David then attended ESBS, Ecole Supérieure de Biotechnologie Strasbourg, France, from 1999 to 2002, where they pursued a Master of Science degree in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, and Process Engineering.

In 2001 and 2002, David Fluri also conducted research at the Benaroya Research Institute in Seattle, USA, specializing in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.

After completing their master's degree, David Fluri furthered their education at ETH Zürich from 2002 to 2008, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Biotechnology.

Continuing their academic pursuits, David Fluri returned to the University of Basel in 2017 and completed a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Pharmaceutical Medicine, which lasted until 2019.
