Julián Sierra

Julián Sierra has a diverse work experience in the field of data engineering and development. Julián started their career as a Full Stack Developer at Siemens in 2015, where they worked on a project for Gestamp Automoción SL. During this time, they gained experience in NoSQL tools such as Redis and Cassandra. After this, they joined Lifeder.com as a collaborator, where they focused on the creation of a psychology platform using Lean Startup methodology.

In 2016, Julián returned to Siemens and took on the role of Backend and Big Data Developer in the Mindsphere Application Center of Seville. Here, they worked with Scala, Python, Apache Spark, Cassandra, and Redis to develop and maintain data processes for the EEA platform. Julián also performed data analysis and prepared visualizations for the rest of the team.

In 2019, Julián joined urban Data Analytics as a Data Engineer, before moving to their current role at Inspide. At Inspide, they started as a Data Engineer before being promoted to Data Engineering Manager in 2023.

Julián Sierra completed their Master's degree in Computer Engineering from the Universidad de Sevilla, starting in 2014 and finishing in 2016. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the same university, from 2009 to 2014. During their undergraduate studies, Julián focused on subjects such as web development, artificial intelligence, computational mathematics, and embedded devices.
