Jim O'Connor

Jim O'Connor has a diverse work experience in the semiconductor industry. Jim currently holds the position of VP Engineering at Inspire Semiconductor, Inc. and previously worked as VP Engineering at CryptoCore.

Before these roles, Jim founded Solid Oak Technologies, LLC in 2007 and led the company until 2020. Solid Oak specializes in Electronic Design Automation and Services, focusing on Assertion Based Verification (ABV) tools and services. Jim also served as the Solutions Group Director at Cadence Design Systems from 2016 to 2020, managing a team that provided design and verification expertise for various semiconductor projects.

Prior to that, Jim held the position of Director of Memory Products Design Engineering at Everspin Technologies from 2015 to 2016. Jim also served as VP Engineering at CoinTerra, Inc. from 2013 to 2014, where they were responsible for the architecture and implementation of cryptocurrency ASIC processors.

Jim's earlier work experience includes roles as Senior Director of Engineering at Altior Inc. from 2011 to 2012, Vice President of Engineering at SMSC from 2007 to 2010, Senior VP at iVivity Inc. from 2003 to 2007, and Director at Zagros Networks in 2002.
