Kai Samposalo

Kai Samposalo has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Kai currently holds the position of Director, Engineering and LCM, Aviation at Insta since April 2022. Prior to this role, they served as the SW Team Lead, Aviation at Insta from August 2018 to April 2022. In 2018, they also worked as a Technical Delegate for the Finnish Ski Association. Kai joined the International Ski Federation in November 2021 as a Technical Delegate. Earlier in their career, Kai worked at Teleste as a Senior Software Developer from April 2017 to August 2018, and at Mitron Oy as a Senior Software Developer from August 2016 to March 2017. Kai gained experience in software development and project engineering at SW-Development Ltd and Microsoft respectively. Kai also worked as a Senior Engineer, Audio SW at Nokia from April 2013 to April 2014, and as a Senior Engineer, Audio Research at Nokia from January 2008 to September 2011.

Kai Samposalo received their education from various institutions. Kai attended Tampere University of Technology from 2000 to 2005, where they obtained a Master of Science degree. Their major was Software Engineering, and they also completed minors in Telecommunication Networks and Protocols as well as Industrial Management. Prior to that, from 1999 to 2000, they studied at Lahti University of Applied Sciences, but the specific degree obtained is unknown. Before entering higher education, Kai attended Salpausselän lukio from 1994 to 1998. In addition to their academic qualifications, Kai has also obtained certifications as a Licensed Official: Technical Delegate from two different institutions. Kai was certified by The International Ski and Snowboard Federation in November 2021 and by Suomen Hiihtoliitto | Finnish Ski Association in May 2018.
