Haytham Abuelfutuh

Haytham Abuelfutuh has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Haytham is currently the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Union.ai, where they focus on enabling users to take their ideas from concept to production with high quality and no tech debt. Haytham is also a Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of InstaConsult, Inc.

In terms of previous roles, Haytham worked at Lyft as a Software Engineering Manager and Software Engineer. At Google, they served as a Lead Software Engineer, leading a sub-team to ship an internal library for 1st party apps. Prior to that, they were a Software Development Engineer at Microsoft, where they successfully delivered SharePoint 2010-2013 and ForeFront 2010, and worked on improving antivirus features and blocking Cross Site Scripting in SharePoint WebParts.

Haytham also has experience as a C++ Team Lead at NTP Software, leading the development of software and dealing with customer issues. Haytham served as the President and Vice President of the acmASCIS Student Chapter, where they gained leadership skills. Additionally, they worked as a Software Development Engineer at SilverKey and a Junior Software Engineer at NTP Software early in their career.

Haytham Abuelfutuh holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Nova Southeastern University, which they obtained from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they completed an internship in Robotics Systems at Paderborn University in 2007. Their undergraduate education was at Ain Shams University, where they earned a BSc in Computer Science from 2003 to 2007. In addition to their formal education, Haytham has obtained certifications such as being a Program Committee Member for the Open Source Summit North America 2022 organized by The Linux Foundation, which they obtained in April 2022. Furthermore, they have served as a Speaker at the KubeCon + CloudNativeCon North America 2021 event, also organized by The Linux Foundation, which they achieved in October 2021.
