Kemal Yorulmaz

Kemal Yorulmaz is a skilled researcher currently working at the Institut Català de Nanociència i Nanotecnologia (ICN2) since July 2023, specializing in nanoimprint lithography and photonics. Proficiencies include the design and fabrication of micro/nanostructured patterns, UV and thermal nanoimprint lithography, SEM, FTIR, and UV-Vis spectroscopy, as well as data analysis and reporting. Previously, Kemal held a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship at CIC biomaGUNE, focusing on the synthesis and characterization of gold nanoparticles, and served as a scientific intern at the Institute of Science and Technology Austria, working on photothermal nanocrystals. Earlier experience includes a mechanical engineering role at Arup, where Kemal designed HVAC systems for various building projects. Kemal holds a Master of Science in Advanced Materials Science and Engineering from Imperial College London and a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
