Institut de la Vision
Kate Grieve has a strong and diverse work experience. Kate is currently working at Institut de la Vision as a Research Director since October 2021. Prior to this role, they were a Principal Research Scientist at the same company from February 2014 to September 2021.
In 2020, Kate served as the President at Sharpeye Vision. Kate joined the company in July 2020 and is currently in that role.
Before that, they were a Research Project Manager at LLTech from April 2012 to October 2013. In 2010, they worked as an Optical Systems Engineer at Optos from March 2010 to May 2012.
Their academic journey includes being a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Oxford from August 2007 to October 2009. Prior to that, they were a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, Berkeley from October 2005 to July 2007.
Kate started their professional career as a PhD student at ESPCI in 2002 and completed it in 2005.
Kate Grieve obtained their MSci degree in Physics from Imperial College London, where they studied from 1998 to 2002. Kate then pursued a PhD in Optics at ESPCI Paris - PSL from 2002 to 2005.

Construit au cœur de l'Hôpital national des 15-20, l’Institut de la Vision est l’un des plus importants centres de recherche intégrée sur les maladies de la vision en Europe. Conçu comme un lieu de rassemblement et d’échanges, il réunit sur un même site la recherche fondamentale, clinique et industrielle, favorisant ainsi le partage des concepts et des techniques, la rencontre de compétences et d’expertises complémentaires et l’émergence de nouvelles pistes de recherche. Chercheurs, médecins et industriels y travaillent de concert pour découvrir et valider ensemble de nouvelles thérapeutiques, des solutions préventives, ainsi que des technologies compensatrices des atteintes visuelles.
