Elvira Fernández is an accomplished medical professional and educator with extensive experience in nephrology and medical education. Currently serving as the Directora at the Institut de Recerca Biomédica de Lleida since December 2015, Elvira Fernández also holds the position of Secretaria de la junta at the Sociedad Española de Nefrología since October 2013. As a Professor at the Universitat de Lleida since September 1992, Elvira Fernández leads expert courses in subclinical atheromatosis diagnosis and oversees a Master's program on atherothrombotic disease and non-invasive diagnostic techniques. Previously, Elvira Fernández was the Jefe de Servicio de Nefrología at Hospital Universitario Arnau de Vilanova de Lleida from March 1999 to January 2016.
