Jean-François Côté has a diverse work experience in the field of clinical research. Jean-François started their career as a Post Doctoral Fellow at The Burnham Institute in 2000 and worked there until 2005. Jean-François then joined the Institut de Recherches Cliniques de Montréal (IRCM) in 2011 as an Associate Director (Scientific Life) and held that position until 2013. From 2013 to 2017, they served as the Associate Director (Student Affairs) at the same institute. In 2017, they became the Vice President (Research and Academic Affairs) and a Full IRCM Professor at the Université de Montréal while also serving as an Adjunct Professor in Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine at McGill University. In 2021, they became the interim President and Scientific Director of IRCM.
Jean-François Côté obtained their B.Sc in Biochimie from Université de Montréal in 1994. Jean-François then pursued a Ph.D in Biochemistry at McGill University from 1996 to 2000.
