Marija Đuroković

Marija Đuroković has years of professional experience in production, quality control, cement certification and other construction products. She graduated in Chemistry in 1997 from the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb. She started working in the Našicecement d.d. company that same year, where she remained until 2011 as Head of QC and QM and Head of Technology Centre. She has been an employee at the Institut IGH, Zagreb, since 2011 as Head of Laboratory for Binders and Ecology. Ms Đuroković defended her doctoral thesis "Chemical resistance of cement pastes to the action of deionized water " in 2019 at the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb. She started her scientific activities in Našicecement. Her particular field of interest was applying science in the development of new products with modified properties and reduced environmental impact. She publishes in scientific journals and is a long-standing Chairwoman of the Technical Committee 74 for Cement and Lime at the Croatian Standards Institut. Since 2021, Ms Đuroković also chairs the Scientific and Research Council of the Institut IGH d.d.
